There is a high possibility that your doctor will prescribe the CPAP mask or treatment if you are diagnosed for sleep apnea. There are 3 types of CPAP masks: Full-face masks, nasal pillow masks and the nasal mask.
Before buying a CPAP mask, it is advisable to ensure you know the proper fitting mask for you because it may lead to side effects such as dry mouth, nasal congestions, sores and other effects if you do not know the right fitting. Full-face masks cover the face entirely as the name suggests. They have side straps at the forehead and mouth level to secure the mask and provide proper air supply.
Nasal pillow masks are used for claustrophobic patients. They do not cover the whole face and give you full vision. They also have inserts which supplies air directly to the nose. Nasal masks cover only the nose area and is ideal for restless sleepers. They have side straps at the mouth to prevent the mask from falling off the face. So every CPAP nasal mask type has its own unique feature.
