Jason Mears was
introduced to the outdoors at a very young age by his grandfather. Now his life
revolves around his family, hunting, and fishing. He has hunted large and small
game across North America, but aside from years of pursuing the whitetail deer,
his favorite is the wild turkey. When the spring woods begin to "green up" you
can bet he'll be in the woods trying to outwit an old boss tom. His other
passion is archery, and to help introduce newcomers to the sport, he has become
a Bowhunter Education Instructor through IBEP (International Bowhunter Education
Program). He hopes to help more people learn about the proper and safe ways to
utilize the primitive weapons that we enjoy today. 'Be it young or old, if I can
help to recruit new hunters into the sport, while instilling values and teaching
the safe way to do it, I will have accomplished my goal.'
Jason has
incorporated his videography training and years of outdoor experience to become
the main videographer for Brian Doty Outdoors. This experience helps him to be
in the right time and place when Brian, Misty or Hunter makes the
shot.
