I started hunting with my grandfather (Bill Wood), my dad (Scott Trammell), and my mom (Beverly Trammell) when I was just starting to walk. I shot my first deer when I was nine years old and can still remember the moment like it was yesterday. You see hunting is a passion of mine, but without family and friends it would mean nothing to me. Those times sitting around the campfire and listening to my grandfather and my dad taught me values and gave me insight to what life was all about.

Another passion of mine is fishing. I started fishing with my other grandfather (J.T. Trammell) and grandmother (Nona Trammell) when I was just old enough to hold a cane pole. There were many times in the boat together where we would laugh, and talk about the fact that the fish weren’t biting. The fact that the fish were not biting meant nothing to me. I was spending time with two people that I loved dearly.

I say all of this to get one point across. It is not about the hunting/fishing that we all do. It is about the relationships that we make a further strengthen. After all, that big buck you shot or big fish that you caught will be forgotten sooner or later, but that time you spent with your family and friends will always be remembered. Ask yourself this what would that big buck (or big fish) mean to you if you could not tell anyone about it.

You can tell the outdoors has been a passion of mine since I was a small child. I have a lot of cherished times with my family through all of our experiences in the outdoors. Since then I decided to gear my entire life towards the outdoors. I graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Wildlife Management and continue actively studying wildlife.
